I fell in love with drums in the 6th grade. Back then, Washington County School District required each student to choose between visual art, choir, or band and orchestra. I chose the drums.
Music was “my thing” through college. In high school, I played in every group I could: concert band, marching band, pit orchestra, percussion ensemble, and early morning jazz band (thanks for the rides, mom). The school principal gave me “Music Student of the Year Award” in 2012. I guess it was worth it.
After high school, I studied music performance at Brigham Young University. I spent countless hours in the practice room and performed countless times on and off campus–on drum set, timpani, keyboard instruments, etc. I grew especially fond of vintage drums.
Since that time, I have bought, repaired, and re-sold hundreds of drums–vintage and modern. I’ve learned how to make each drum sound great. Now I’m ready to share these skills with you.
